BumpTop - Make your dektop 3D !!

What if our desktop can become 3D instead of 2D flat screen?

This video shows an answer to this question. I kind of liked the idea of BumpTop. It is 3D desktop inspired from a real desk. Link to download BumTop is shown below,

I was able to download this software and here are some of the snapshots of BumpTop after I installed it.




When this program is launched then tutorial appears on the screen,

There are five parts of this tutorial. First part is about moving around in BumpTop. Second part (as shown below) is about dragging and throwing objects inside BumpTop.

Third part of tutorial is about piling up the things. By holding the left mouse button and drawing a circle around the files we can then pile them up.

Fourth part of tutorial is about attaching files to the walls of BumpTop. Just throw the files towards the wall and they stick to the wall then. We can focus on the wall by then double clicking the wall.

Fifth part is about searching through files and organizing them.

Then finally BumpTop starts. Here is its screen shot. Enjoy ! :-)
